Hips & Brain Screening
DDH & Cranial checks
We perform two vital baseline assessments:
- Graf Hip Screening: measuring socket angles to rule out hip dysplasia (DDH)
- Cranial Brain Scan: scanning through the soft spot to check brain ventricles and fluid
Spine & Kidney Screening
Spinal Cord & Urinary Tract
We complete the screening with two additional checks:
- Lower Spine Scan: checking for sacral dimple depths or tethered cord
- Renal Ultrasound: assessing the kidneys and bladder for structural anomalies or dilation
Feeding & Timing Recommendations
- Best Age: This screening package is optimized for babies aged between 4 weeks and 4 months.
- Feeding: Feed your baby just before the appointment. A content, sleepy baby makes the scan very smooth.
- Clothing: Wear clothing that is easy to remove. Bring a spare nappy and a pacifier or bottle.
- Duration: The entire comprehensive screen takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
