Comprehensive Triple-Area Digital Radiography
For complex trauma, rheumatological investigations, or multiple joint assessments, you may require X-rays of three separate body parts. This comprehensive radiography appointment allows you to scan all three areas (such as the hip, knee, and ankle, or three separate spine segments) in a single visit to our Naxxar clinic.
Using our high-resolution digital systems, our consultant radiologists will perform the scans and deliver a signed diagnostic report within 1 to 2 hours.
Comprehensive Skeletal Check
Three Target Areas
We scan three separate body parts in one visit, such as:
- Complete spinal check (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine views)
- Lower limb series (e.g. hip, knee, and ankle joint sets)
- Multiple joints for arthritic checks (e.g. hands, feet, and knees)
Digital Efficiency
Low-Dose, Clear Images
We prioritize safety and quick reporting:
- Capturing front and side views for all three target areas
- Digital sensors that capture clear images with minimal exposure
- PDF reports and digital radiographs emailed within 1 to 2 hours
Preparation & Referral Guidelines
- Referral Required: A doctor's referral note is required for all diagnostic X-rays, to ensure the X-ray is clinically justified and the correct views are captured safely.
- Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Remove all metal items, jewelry, or buckles from the target body areas.
- Duration: The entire appointment takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about X-ray Three (3) Body Parts.
Why would I need an X-ray of three body parts?
This is common after multiple joint injuries (e.g. a fall affecting your wrist, elbow, and shoulder) or for evaluating multiple joints affected by systemic conditions like arthritis.
Do I need a doctor's referral note?
Yes. A doctor's referral is required, to ensure the X-ray is clinically justified and that we perform the exact views needed to answer your doctor's clinical question.
Can I claim this on my health insurance?
Your insurer may require a referral letter from your GP or another doctor who is not the radiologist you are seeing before they will reimburse the visit. If you plan to claim, please check with your insurer before your appointment, as claims without a valid referral may be declined.
How quickly are results sent?
We compile and email your signed PDF report and digital radiographs within 1 to 2 hours of your scan.
