Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about injections, biopsies, recovery, and results.

Are the joint injections painful? +

The procedures are performed under local anaesthetic, which numbs the skin and deeper tissues. While you may feel a brief sting during the anaesthetic injection and some pressure, the procedure itself should not be painful.

What should I do after a breast biopsy or joint injection? +

We recommend resting the affected area and avoiding strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, or swimming for 48 hours to minimize bruising or infection risk. A small dressing will be applied at the clinic.

Do you offer hyaluronic acid injections? +

No, we do not perform hyaluronic acid injections. We focus on diagnostic aspirations, steroid infiltrations, calcific tendinopathy barbotage, and image-guided biopsies.

How quickly do I get histopathology results? +

For biopsies, the tissue sample is sent to an accredited pathology laboratory. Histopathology results typically take 7 days for a core biopsy, and up to 10 days for a fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy.
